Sophie Bishop
Sophie has worked at Manchester Fertility since 2018. As a Consultant Anaesthetist, she provides sedation for egg collections prioritising excellent patient experiences throughout the whole process.
She completed her anaesthetist training in the North West after graduating from Manchester University in 2002. Sophie completed a unique programme studying a European language alongside her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery qualification. She continued to become a Consultant Anaesthetist at Manchester University Foundation Trust in 2013, based at Wythenshawe Hospital.
Sophie is passionate about sharing her knowledge by providing doctors with Postgraduate Training. She is the Training Programme Director for Core Training in Anaesthesia in the North West for NHSE. Furthermore, Sophie has an interest in Obstetric Anaesthesia and primary Urology Surgery, having done Vascular and Burns anaesthesia for the past ten years.
