Debbie is one of the founding members of the team at Manchester Fertility and was among the first embryologists when the clinic opened in 1986.
Today, Debbie serves as Joint Managing Director, with responsibility for regulation, clinical services, and leading our dedicated team.
With more than 40 years of experience in the fertility sector, she began her career as an embryologist before progressing into laboratory management and, ultimately, clinic leadership.
The Embryology Laboratory is where every patient's journey towards parenthood truly begins, and where IVF and ICSI procedures are performed. Debbie played a key role in the team that welcomed Manchester Fertility's very first IVF baby, Philip Hood, who was born in April 1987.
Since then, the expertise and dedication of our Embryology team have helped bring more than 10,000 babies into the world. By embracing the latest technologies and medical advances, we continue to remain at the forefront of fertility treatment in the UK.
“The fact that I’ve been here since the very beginning has given me a unique view of infertility causes and their treatments. Over the years, treatment advances have achieved so much for so many people. It’s an exciting future, and we never stand still – we’re constantly researching new methods and ways of overcoming infertility.”
