Elias is one of the highly skilled anaesthetists we have here at Manchester Fertility. Elias’ career spans over 13 years as a consultant anaesthetist, with his primary base at Wythenshawe Hospital, part of Manchester University’s NHS Foundation Trust but he also works at Manchester Fertility as part of our anaesthetic team, providing intravenous sedation for patients undergoing egg collection for fertility treatment, egg freezing, and egg donation.  

With a medical degree and a specialty in anaesthesia, his expertise extends to sub-specialties, particularly in anaesthesia for airway procedures and regional anaesthesia; Elias helps to alleviate any pain and sensation associated with fertility procedures. 

Elias holds memberships in organisations such as the General Medical Council (GMC), the Royal College of Anaesthetists (RcoA), the Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland (AAGBI), the European Society of Anaesthesiology (ESAIC), the Society for Intravenous Anaesthesia (SIVA), the Difficult Airway Society (DAS), and the British Medical Association (BMA). His dedication to his field ensures he stays at the forefront of advancements and maintains the highest standards of professional excellence.

Elias entered the field of anaesthesia as he was also fascinated by the concept of anaesthesia and how the brain works. Elias is a valued team member and contributes significantly to the well-being and comfort of patients under his care.
