Counsellor

Gemma Murphy

Gemma is one of Manchester Fertility’s expert fertility counsellors, helping individuals and couples navigate the process more effectively and with greater resilience.

Gemma became a part of the Manchester Fertility family when she originally joined the clinic as a Healthcare Assistant. This role combined her interest in women’s health and maternal well-being, which deepened her passion for the fertility journey and inspired her to retrain as a counsellor. To pursue her passion further, she also volunteered her time at local mum and baby groups and maternal wellbeing groups.

After gaining her Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, she proceeded to become a member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and the BICA (British Infertility Counselling Association).

Her role as a counsellor is to provide the patients of Manchester Fertility with compassion, empathy, and a deep understanding of the complex emotions that fertility treatment can evoke. Being sensitive and in tune with the fact that everyone’s experience will be very different and ensuring she offers a nurturing and warm space for patients to feel relaxed and welcomed.
