I have been with the same partner for 28 years, we have up on having children but I've recently discovered due to a health problem that I have had a fibroid for several years, this can cause infertility. I am having this removed. I've had test and they have established I am still producing eggs. I am 48 what are the chances of conceiving after this removal. Should I consider having my eggs frozen?

I went 14 months without any periods then at Christmas last year I had a full on period only very light periods lasting 2/3 days. Nothing much as still on the pill and still having hot flashes.
