If you’re planning to have a family in 2017 with the help of a sperm donor or egg donor, you probably already have a ‘wish list’ of donor traits you’re looking for, covering everything from physical looks to personality, education and even career.

But how do you find this ‘ideal’ sperm or egg donor? At Manchester Fertility, choosing your donor is one of the most exciting parts of your treatment journey, and we make it easy and simple to find a sperm donor or egg donor in the North West and the UK through our own successful donor sperm and donor egg banks.

With no waiting list for our UK-based, traceable and identifiable sperm and egg donors, you can start planning to have your family straight away with us:

Who are our sperm and egg donors?

All Manchester Fertility sperm and egg donors donate only to us. Our egg donors are either our own patients who need IVF and are egg-sharing by donating eggs at the same time; or are altruistic women local to our clinic from across Manchester, Cheshire and beyond, who simply wish to help others have a baby.

Our sperm donors are men from right across the UK, who donate to our national Semovo sperm donor bank through our network of regional donation clinics, so you have the widest choice of sperm donors from throughout the country.

Latest donor egg and donor sperm availability

Thanks to the success of our Semovo sperm donor bank and Manchester Donors egg donor programme, we don’t have any waiting list for treatment with our UK donor sperm or donor eggs, including IVF with donor eggs or donor sperm and Donor Sperm Insemination.

We offer both fresh and frozen donor eggs from our egg bank, all our frozen donor eggs are preserved using the very latest advanced methods to maximise viability, with pregnancy rates of around 40% across all age groups if an embryo is transferred.

Choosing your sperm or egg donor

Are you looking for a 6ft tall, dark-haired businessman to be your sperm donor? Or do you want someone who’s blonde and athletic? Whatever your ‘wish list’, we’ll have a sperm donor to suit. Our sperm donors are all aged 18-41 and range from students and graduates to entrepreneurs, professionals and emergency services personnel.

If you’re hoping to find an egg donor that looks you - many women who need donor eggs aim to choose a donor who they resemble – all of our egg donors are healthy, fertile women aged 18-35 from all walks of life and backgrounds.

Just tell our dedicated Donation Team what you’re looking for – such as height, hair colour, eye colour, education level, career - and we’ll match you with any of our donors that fit.

You’ll be given detailed donor profiles to help you choose, which include extra touches such as personal goodwill messages from each donor, and can provide you with personal insight as our team gets to know all of our sperm and egg donors well.

Using the same sperm or egg donor for a sibling

When you undergo Donor Eggs IVF, you may have more than one good quality embryo as a result of your treatment. We can freeze any remaining embryos, so you can use them in future cycles and grow your family using the same egg donor.

For sperm donors, if your treatment results in pregnancy, you may be able to reserve more samples of sperm from your donor so you can try to conceive again in future, and have a genetic sibling for your child.
