Latest HFEA figures show that more women are opting to have a baby on their own. If you’re single and want to start your family, you can choose to have treatment with us straight away using donor sperm.

All of our sperm donors are men from the UK, aged between 18 and 41, who donate exclusively to us. As HFEA-registered donors they are fully identifiable to any children you have using their sperm and have passed the strict medical screening needed to be a sperm donor. We have no waiting lists for donor sperm, so you can start planning to have a baby as soon as you’re ready.

You are given a choice of donors dependent upon your personal preferences, such as height, build, hair and eye colour. And whilst you’re not able to see photographs of your potential donor, each of our sperm donors has written a personal pen portrait about themselves so you can learn more about them and their personality.

But selecting your ideal sperm donor is only part of your journey when you come to us for either donor insemination or IVF using donor sperm. We understand that choosing to have a baby on your own can be daunting and how you may feel.

Our counsellors will talk through the implications of using donor sperm to have a baby, providing you with support in understanding what rights your child has to learn about their sperm donor in future if they wish to. And how you may be able to explain to your child how they came to be born.

But crucially, when you come to us for treatment to have a baby on your own, you join our family. You’ll be supported by our caring and professional team every step of the way – from initial consultation, to choosing your donor, undergoing treatment and pregnancy testing.

We’ve helped so many women have a baby on their own. So if you don’t want to wait any longer to have a baby, come and see us today for an informal one-to-one with our Patient Advisors. You can meet our team, tour our clinic and find out more about our sperm donors. Call 0161 300 2737 or click here to book an appointment. You may also find our Guide for Single Women useful.
