IUI or IVF at 44

I will be 44 next week and do not have any children. I conceived after two months of trying in October 2010 but miscarried at 6 weeks. Unfortunately my marriage only lasted a year and so I would need to use doner sperm. I am keen on using my own eggs. I am fit and heathy and my cycle length is between 25 and 29 days. Would either IUI or IVF be an option for me?

Please note that all the answers we give are on a generic basis only, as we cannot provide more in-depth answers without access to your medical history. If you need a more detailed response, tailored to you, we would recommend a consultation with one of our Fertility Specialists for more comprehensive medical advice.

I would advise you to see a fertility doctor who can go through the various options with you.  Unfortunately at 44 your chance of conceiving with your own eggs is very low and the fertility doctor will be able to discuss this with you.
