Appropriate treatment for male with low- sperm count and mobility

I am fertile and my husband has low sperm count and low mobility. What would be my suggested treatment next? Will IUI still work for us?

This information was published 9 years, 9 months ago and was correct at the time of publication. It may not reflect our current practices or regulations.

Please note that all the answers we give are on a generic basis only, as we cannot provide more in-depth answers without access to your medical history. If you need a more detailed response, tailored to you, we would recommend a consultation with one of our Fertility Specialists for more comprehensive medical advice.

At Manchester Fertility we would recommend ICSI if you are under 43 years old as the most effective form of treatment for low sperm count and mobility. IUI using partner sperm is not an effective form of treatment for mild male factor infertility.
