I had my amh levels tested privately three years ago and had a result of 33.1 which I was told was satisfactory. I have just turned 36 and am considering IVF as I have struggled to conceive for some time. Were these results acceptable at the time and can they change? Should I be tested again? Thanks.

Please note that all the answers we give are on a generic basis only, as we cannot provide more in-depth answers without access to your medical history. If you need a more detailed response, tailored to you, we would recommend a consultation with one of our Fertility Specialists for more comprehensive medical advice.
Your AMH level 3 years ago was in the expected range for your age group. We recommend retesting every year so you should think about retesting. I would also suggest that you see a Fertility Doctor to discuss your medical history and how to improve your chance to conceive.
