National Fertility Awareness Week is an annual event which runs from 31 October until 4 November 2022. Initiated by the Fertility Network UK, a charitable organisation that aims to change perceptions around infertility and signpost resources for those who need them, it is designed to raise awareness, promote support, and change perceptions of fertility issues.
Manchester Fertility is part of the Fertility Network UK family, having signed up for the Patient Pledge in 2022. Through this promise, we have committed to providing exceptional emotional support to our patients at all stages of their fertility journey.
This year’s themes include the fairness of fertility treatment, fertility in the workplace, male fertility and men’s experiences, fertility education, and fertility support. Throughout National Fertility Awareness Week, we’ll post informative blogs and social media posts to support these themes. We’ll also be celebrating World Fertility Day on 2 November.
The Fertility Network estimates that 3.5 million people in the UK face fertility issues, and since we opened our doors to patients in 1985, we have seen first-hand how these issues affect our patients. During this time have made it our mission to inform, support and overcome infertility wherever we can, making people’s fertility journeys ones of hope and positivity.
