National Fertility Awareness Week 2022 is all about offering support and care, and here at Manchester Fertility, that’s what we do, day in, day out. We’re known as a compassionate and caring clinic that provides our patients with an excellent patient experience.

We understand that fertility treatment can be an emotional journey; sometimes, patients just need a little TLC. We are here to ensure you receive the highest standard of care, support, and empathy from a fantastic team. From the moment you start your fertility journey, we have lots of great information and support on our website and social media channels. And, once you make a call or send an enquiry to Manchester Fertility, that’s where the support really starts. You’ll speak to Kelly’s amazing team of New Patient Coordinators, who will talk you through the next steps.

When you come to our state-of-the-art clinic for tests and treatment, you won’t have to go far; our free car park is right next to our clinic which has electric charging points. When you walk through our clinic doors, you’ll be given the warmest of welcomes by Georgie and Jane, the friendliest receptionists you could imagine.

Once you start treatment, you’ll be in the hands of our Patient Advisor Team, led by Rihannah, who will guide patients through their fertility journey, arranging your visits to our Nurses led by Sister Samantha Potts, our hugely experienced and kind Consultants led by Dr Raj Mathur and our miracle-making Embryology team.

However, the support doesn’t stop with our team. As a patient of Manchester Fertility, you will be given access to our free patient app, designed to improve your fertility journey with us. Here are the ways our app supports you:

  • Personalised calendar displaying all your appointments, medication regime and treatment schedule.
  • Push notifications will remind you about upcoming appointments, to take medications, ovulation tests and pregnancy tests.
  • Instant messaging function makes communications easy, quick and discreet.
  • Two-way document sharing, such as investigation results and consultation letters.

We also have lots of patient support via our Manchester Fertility Facebook Support Group, which many patients find invaluable during their experience. The private group allows you to connect with other patients who may be experiencing a similar journey as you. It also provides online support, reassurance and advice and allows you to ask questions and share tips with other Manchester Fertility patients. It is a safe space to talk to other patients. It is run by our Senior Patient Advisor, Hayley, who has many years of experience understanding and empathising with patients who may feel mixed emotions during their fertility treatment.

Finally, we know that fertility treatment can be emotionally and physically challenging. That’s why our highly experienced fertility counsellors are always here to listen impartially, with understanding and empathy. Personalised and tailored to meet your needs, you can access counselling in the best way that suits you, online or in person, at our clinic. You will have the opportunity to talk to a professional fertility counsellor, in confidence and in private. Many of our patients find the support of our counsellors invaluable, as you are free to discuss whatever you may be feeling with someone who understands but is not involved.

We’ll leave the final words to Rihannah Leech-Ratchford, our Patient Services Manager who embodies patient care here at Manchester Fertility.

“We are here to do everything we can to support and reassure you with exceptional care. We are a phone call away to answer any questions or concerns you have during your fertility treatment.”

If you’re looking for a supportive, compassionate, and caring clinic to start your fertility treatment with, please call Kelly Young and her team of New Patient Coordinators on 0161 300 2737. Or, you can book a free 1-2-1 discovery appointment online here.
