Did you know that there’s much more to your IVF treatment at Manchester Fertility than you’d expect from a typical IVF cycle?

We’ve been at the forefront of IVF and fertility treatments for over 30 years. And as advances have been made in treatment over this time, we’ve made investments - in the very latest laboratory equipment and in new techniques, so we can always offer you the most modern evidence-based treatment innovations that science allows, to give you the very best chance of IVF success.

So what technologies, testing and innovations can you expect when you choose us as your IVF clinic, and how do they help you increase your chances of pregnancy and birth?

Pre-cycle Endometrial Scratching:This is an optional procedure that we carry out before your IVF cycle begins. Evidence shows that if the endometrial lining is gently ‘scratched’, it changes how it grows back to make it more receptive of any transferred embryos. The procedure is a simple and quick process, similar to a smear test, and can be carried out in our clinic whether you’re having treatment with us or elsewhere.

DNA fragmentation testing:If you’ve had repeated failed cycles of IVF or miscarriages after conceiving naturally, we can test your partner’s sperm with a special test to see if DNA-damaged sperm is the cause. Sperm can appear normal with normal mobility, count and shape, but can contain damaged DNA.

Blastocyst culture and transfer:Blastocyst culture and transfer is free of charge and included in your cycle. Blastocysts are embryos that have been allowed to develop in our laboratory for longer, helping us to identify the embryos that have developed correctly to the right cell-stage.

EmbryoScope time-lapse monitoring:Our EmbryoScope incubators give you a stage-by-stage time lapse video of your embryos development from the earliest stage to transfer-ready embryo. It gives us highly-detailed information about your embryos growth, ensuring that only those embryos that have developed correctly are transferred. EmbryoScope is available for any treatment that involves embryo culture and is an optional part of your treatment.

EmbryoGlue:EmbryoGlue is a special ‘glue’ that helps your embryos to stick to your uterus after transfer. It is included free of charge as part of your cycle. We were one of the first clinics in the UK to use this special solution, which contains high levels of naturally occurring hormones. All your embryos are bathed in EmbryoGlue just prior to transfer.

Alternative therapy:We can offer you alternative therapies including Acupuncture for IVF with Dr Greg Carter and dietary, nutrition and stress advice for you and your partner from nutritionist Jeannette Jackson. All alternative therapies are designed to complement your treatment cycle, giving you a complete treatment experience.

Prenatal testing:We were one of the first clinics to offer Harmony prenatal testing, a non-invasive, breakthrough blood test that can accurately identify the risks of common chromosome conditions. If you’re worried, Harmony testing can give you peace of mind. It’s available for anyone from 10 weeks pregnancy, whether you’ve had successful treatment with us, elsewhere or have conceived naturally.
