Just wondering am I too old for IVF? I am 42 and had twins 6 years ago through IVF. Now I'd like another baby but have I left it too late?
This information was published 9 years ago and was correct at the time of publication. It may not reflect our current practices or regulations.
Please note that all the answers we give are on a generic basis only, as we cannot provide more in-depth answers without access to your medical history. If you need a more detailed response, tailored to you, we would recommend a consultation with one of our Fertility Specialists for more comprehensive medical advice.
It is possible to have a baby at 42 but the success rate is lower than it would have been when you had your twins. It is difficult to be more specific about your question without any information about your medical history and egg reserve. I would suggest that you have a fertility MOT and then we would be able to advise you as to you own chances.
