No waiting list for donor sperm - and Asian donor sperm available

20th June 2013 in Treatments

If you have male fertility issues, are a single woman wanting a baby on your own or in a same-sex relationship and need to use donor sperm to have your family, we do not have any waiting list for treatment using donor sperm. You can request treatment immediately.

All of our donors are from the UK and HFEA-registered, and we will aim to give you at least two to three choices of donor, based on your specific requirements and donor profile wishes.

The good news is that we also have sperm available from ethnic groups. Thanks to our continuous drive to encourage sperm donation through our www.manchesterdonors.com website, we have Asian sperm available from UK donors who have come forward to help others have a family.

This means we also have no waiting list if you need Asian donor sperm. We are actively now asking for more egg donors to come forward from ethnic communities, so we can help those who need donor eggs and wish to find a donor from the same ethnic background as themselves.

We always aim to match your donor requirements where we can. We do have an extensive list of donors and in most cases we’re able to find you your ideal donor. Remember that although you don’t get to see a photograph of our donors, you can read their profiles, and ‘pen portraits’, which tell you more about them, their reasons for donating and their hobbies and personalities. This information is there to help you choose the right donor for you.

It’s a very personal experience when choosing your donor, but our team is always here to help you make that important decision and we can guide and advise you accordingly along the way.

Our egg donors are women aged between 18 and 35, and our sperm donors are men aged between 18 and 41. This ensures their eggs and sperm are of the best quality they can be. All donors have passed extensive health screening and have agreed to be identifiable to any children born from their donated eggs or sperm.
