Is it possible to do IVF at 49?

I am 48 years old, my doctor advised me to use an egg donor and sperm donor. I did that and everything went well with the recipient. They got 5 blastocysts that they froze after. I started taking progesterone tablets and injections. The doctor said I have a good lining. The following month I did have my period and the doctor said that since there is no way of helping to get my period back, he can't not move on with the procedure. All my effort went down the drain. My question is to know if there is any way to prepare my body to receive that IVF since the eggs are not coming from me?
