As a team we take great pride in giving you the best care during your time with us. We give you personal support at every point of your journey - before your begin your IVF and infertility treatment, when undergoing any procedures in our dedicated patient ward and then after treatment, when we find out together if your treatment has worked.

This is perhaps one of the hardest parts of your treatment path, the time when you are waiting to find out if you are pregnant or not. Sadly, IVF and infertility treatment is not always successful and if your treatment does not go the way we all hope, this is when the care and personal attention of our team really does help.

You are not just told to try again and dismissed – our caring fertility nursing team are dedicated to your well being and are here for you to talk to whenever you need. You’re booked in for a full follow-up consultation.

Our fertility experts and specialists review your treatment protocol to see if there’s anything we can do that would help to improve chances of success in future, and try to identify the reasons why this time, your treatment cycle didn’t work.

You are under our care for as long as you need to be. If your treatment results in a positive pregnancy test, our team look after you until your ultrasound scan. This is carried out at our clinic at around seven weeks into your pregnancy, where our sonographer will check that everything is growing and developing as it should be, and that there is a foetal heatbeat. If all looks well, your care is then passed to your local GP.

If any problems are noted at your ultrasound scan, you will be referred to the Early Pregnancy Unit at your local hospital. During this time, you will again receive nothing but caring and compassionate support from our team of nurses and consultants.

We always say that when you become our patient, you become part of our family. You are never just another patient to us, you are unique, your circumstances and diagnosis are individual to you, and so are your needs. You will never go through your infertility journey alone when you come to Manchester Fertility, no matter what the outcome, we are always here for you.
