Manchester Fertility is one of the few fertility clinics in the country to be able to offer both fresh and frozen UK donor eggs with no waiting list.

Here are some of the benefits of using frozen UK donor eggs from our donor egg bank to conceive:

:Frozen donor eggs Frozen donor eggs come directly from our own award-winning UK egg donor programme, Manchester Donors. The eggs are already in our donor egg bank at our Cheshire fertility clinic, ready to be thawed for use. Unlike fresh donor eggs, for which there is a delay whilst your treatment cycle, and the donation cycle of your donor, is expertly synchronised.

There’s no worry about how your egg donor will respond:If you’re using fresh donor eggs, you may be worried about whether your chosen egg donor will respond safely and well to stimulation, and that she’ll produce enough eggs for donation to you. By using frozen donor eggs, this isn’t an issue – eggs have already been successfully and carefully retrieved from your donor.

Eggs are frozen using the most advanced technique:We use the most advanced freezing technique for all donor eggs. It’s called vitrification, and it’s a way of ‘fast-freezing’ eggs to minimise the formation of ice crystals, which can damage the eggs.

We have high survival rates for frozen eggs:Thanks to our vitrification techniques and advanced laboratory environment, we have very high survival rates for frozen donor eggs at Manchester Fertility. Over 75% of our frozen donor eggs are viable for treatment use after thawing. We control every aspect of freezing in our state-of-the-art laboratory at our Cheshire fertility clinic to maintain quality and maximise survival rates, and do not offer donor eggs which have been frozen elsewhere outside of our control – such as those imported from foreign donor egg banks - to our patients.

You can still freeze embryos:If your cycle with frozen donor eggs results in multiple good quality embryos, these can be frozen and stored by us for your future use via Frozen Embryo Transfer, just as we can for embryos created from fresh donor eggs. Freezing embryos created from frozen donor eggs doesn’t compromise their quality or your chance of pregnancy in future.

Lower treatment costs:Treatment using frozen donor eggs costs less than a cycle using fresh eggs, which makes it a cost-effective and fast option to conceive using donor eggs.

Speak to our dedicated Donation Team on 0161 300 2737 if you’d like to have your family now using frozen UK donor eggs. We have consultant appointments available, and can offer you an extensive choice of healthy and fertile, HFEA-registered identifiable egg donors. Or you can self-refer here, you don’t need a GP referral to start your treatment.
