How far would you travel to get infertility treatment at the best clinic?

Manchester Fertility has been treating people who need help to have their family for almost 27 years. And although our clinic is based in Manchester – where we first opened our doors in 1986 – it hasn’t meant that we only see people from the Greater Manchester and surrounding  areas like Didsbury, Stockport, Prestwich and Bury.

When we look at our records to see where people are coming from, it’s interesting to note that people are travelling, in some instances, a very long way to receive treatment from us.  It’s not unusual for us to welcome patients from Leeds, Stoke on Trent, or Derbyshire. When you consider that IVF and indeed any other infertility treatment involve regular appointments at our clinic, it means lots of round-trips and travelling time to get the help they need. So why are people prepared to travel so far to get IVF treatment? Wouldn’t you think it would simply be added strain to what is already an emotional journey?

We think there are a number of reasons for this. It could be that their local NHS trust doesn’t fund IVF, and private clinic provision is poor where they live. And so they are willing to travel away from their locality to get the help they need.

Or it could be that they simply believe that out of all the private IVF clinics that have opened in the many years following our launch in the North West and indeed Manchester, that we still offer the best level of care, expertise and treatments to give them the best chance of a family.

This is the reason why, after almost 27 years, we’re still one of the leading IVF and infertility clinics not just in the North West, but in the whole of the UK. Our results are consistent across all age groups, and we don’t make false promises or recommend what we feel would be unnecessary treatments. Our team care about you – you’re never just ‘a patient’ to us. We consider all of those we welcome through our doors part of the Manchester Fertility family from the moment you begin your journey.

And as IVF and assisted reproduction  techniques have evolved over the years since we opened, so have we - offering the latest, evidence-based treatments and techniques which have proven success. Our lab team and consultants are constantly working to develop new methods to help our patients in our state-of-the-art laboratory.

So if you want to know why people are willing to travel so far to us, come and see for yourself. We’d be happy to show you around and introduce you to the team who would be taking care of you. You can book your ‘one-to-one’ appointment here.
