Joanne and Andrew
We will never forget what you have done for us.
Our IVF journey started at the beginning of 2016 at the age of 39 and after spending over two years trying unsuccessfully to get pregnant naturally with our second child. After our first cycle ended in miscarriage, I learnt about PGS testing, which showed that only one of our remaining embryos was healthy.
After further failed treatment Dr Anamika Rao recommended I try a new treatment called ERA. It showed my receptive window was 12 hrs earlier than we had previously been working to.
The following month I will never forget the feeling I had when I saw two lines on that pregnancy test. Years of disappointments made this even more special. The thought that after all this time and so close to the end for us I was finally pregnant again!
In April 2018 Ernest Thomas Hargreaves was born, the most beautiful little boy. I still pinch myself every day when I look at Ernie.
Realising that fertility is something that you just can't control has been one of the hardest lessons I've ever learnt.
Despite that Manchester Fertility pushed and pushed for more avenues for me to explore until we actually found something that seemed to make a difference, and despite all the horrendously tough times throughout the journey we find ourselves here - victorious and with a complete family!
We are forever grateful to everyone at the clinic who helped us along the way and will never forget what you have done for us.
