Before joining Manchester Fertility, Abia worked as a dementia care assistant for 2 years, then moved on to a discharge-to-assess-home role in 2021. She worked there for a year as a care assistant before being promoted to a team leader.
With a level 3 qualification in health and social care and a level 2 qualification in supporting teaching and learning, Abia chose this line of work due to her passion for helping people. This role stood out to her because of the person-centred approach taken by the Patient Advisors here at Manchester Fertility.
“I’m here to make sure that our patients have all the information they need and that none of their questions goes unanswered, making our patients' journey more seamless.”
