Egg sharing as a funding option
If you’re having IVF and want to help other infertile women at the same time, you may be able to egg-share.
Egg-sharing is when you donate eggs as part of your treatment cycle. As an egg-sharer your private IVF cycle with us is offered at a subsidised rate of £1,000. This is instead of the £750 HFEA-set compensation for egg donation to cover time and expenses.
Criteria to be an egg-sharer
To egg-share, you have to meet the same age and health criteria required for egg donation.
This includes being aged up to 35, in good health and a non-smoker with no history of genetic or hereditary conditions in your family medical history. You can explore egg-sharing criteria in our Guide for Egg-Sharing.
Egg-sharing to access private IVF
Donating eggs through egg-sharing is not a decision that should ever be taken solely as a means to get subsidised IVF, because of its consequences and long-term implications.
These implications will be made clear to you during your mandatory counselling sessions, so you can make an informed decision about whether being an egg donor as part of your IVF cycle is really right for you.
