My husband and I chose Manchester Fertility for our donor IVF treatment as donor choice and no waiting times were hugely important to us having been within the NHS system for several years. From our initial consultant appointment to egg retrieval, which was around two months later, we felt informed and supported. As our fertility was due to azoospermia, the main thing for us was that we had as much donor information as possible to help us decide and provide any child with as many details as we could if they wanted. We didn't want to simply make a decision based on basic biological features. The letters supplied by donors which includes narrative about them and their reason for donating made what had been a very sad and difficult process a little easier both now and hopefully in the future. We were fortunate to become pregnant on our first embryo transfer but sadly this pregnancy ended. The support given by the midwife during this time was amazing and we really felt cared for with frequent calls and information. This was over and above what I would have expected from any healthcare provider. Throughout treatment we were able to contact the teams with queries and were treated impeccably when coming for embryo transfers and other appointments. So six months after our initial meeting at Manchester Fertility we became pregnant again after a frozen embryo transfer. We now are the proud parents to a very much longed for baby boy. We would recommend Manchester fertility as an IVF treatment centre especially for donation treatment.
