To become a sperm donor the following will be required:
- Complete a questionnaire with details of your medical and family history
- If eligible you will be given an appointment to discuss the implications of donating sperm
- At your appointment you will provide a semen sample for analysis
- If you meet the criteria an appointment will be given to see the doctor for a medical examination
- Screening blood tests will be taken for HIV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, syphilis, cytomegalovirus, cystic fibrosis and genetic testing
- Once all the results are available, you will be able to proceed as a donor
- Sperm donors can donate 1-2 times per week
- Expenses are paid for each visit
