Alastair is a consultant anaesthetist who brings a wealth of experience from working in the UK and Australia. He has a variety of anaesthetic clinical interests, including reproductive medicine, anaesthesia for orthopaedic, liver and colorectal surgery and has completed fellowships in advanced airway management and regional anaesthesia.

He completed training across the UK and Australia before starting a consultant role at Manchester Royal Infirmary. Alastair is committed to education after achieving a medical degree (MBChB) and a Masters in Science in Pain Management. Furthermore, he has continued to complete a PG Certificate in Medical Education and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Authority, as well as holding positions with the Royal College of Anaesthetists (RCoA), including RCoA Tutor and FRCA Examiner.

Alastair provides anaesthetic services to patients undergoing egg collections as part of their fertility treatment. He focuses on providing safe care and takes great pride in working alongside the team at Manchester Fertility.
