AMH (Anti-Müllerian Hormone) is a marker for ovarian reserve and is used in IVF treatment to predict the number of eggs you may produce. However, it does not predict whether or not you would get pregnant as this depends on other factors such as your age. One of the benefits of an AMH test is that unlike other measures of ovarian reserve the test can be done on any day of the menstrual cycle. AMH is a fairly new test and may not be available at your GP surgery but most IVF clinics will be able to carry out this test for you.
