Please note that all the answers we give are on a generic basis only, as we cannot provide more in-depth answers without access to your medical history. If you need a more detailed response, tailored to you, we would recommend a consultation with one of our Fertility Specialists for more comprehensive medical advice.

One failed cycle does not mean that your family friend will not be successful on her next attempt. The clinical pregnancy rate for IVF and ICSI at Manchester Fertility in 2010 in the age range 36-39 was 26% for each cycle started and 32% if the patient reached embryo transfer.  For more individual advice on what to do next I would suggest she contacts one of our Patient Advisors on 0161 300 2737.
