Getting pregnant and home ovulation tests

Hello, myself and my partner are 21 and have been trying to get pregnant now for around 5 months with no success. I have recently took ovulation tests at home when calculated that I was supposed to be ovulating however the home tests have shown up as negative and that I wasn't ovulating. Could this be a problem? Where would we go from here? Thanks, Sarah

If you have a short cycle length (less than 28 days) you need to start using the ovulation tests from day 6 until your next period. If you don’t pick up any ovulation in 2-3 months then you should see your GP for blood tests and an ultrasound scan. If you have irregular cycles it would be worth seeing your GP now.
