High FSH levels
My GP has said from blood results that I have FHS levels of 32. I am 38 years old and have been trying to concieve for one year. I have been told that I have Premature Ovarian Failure but wonder if it is Premature Ovarian Aging and if it would be possible to use my own eggs and if they would be of good enough quality. Menstrual cycle abnormal the last six months, no other signs of menaupause. No children previously. Please advise . Thanks

Premature Ovarian Failure is when your ovaries stop working before the age of 40 whereas premature ovarian aging is where there is a lower than expected number of eggs in the ovary for the age of the patient. You may fall into either category and having a blood test for your AMH level and an ultrasound scan of your ovaries may answer your question.
