To old to conceive through egg donation?

Hello, I am 47 years young and have started the menopause. Is it possible with egg donation to still conceive? I am fit and healthy. My younger sister would like to be the egg donor.

At Manchester Fertility the upper age limit for receiving treatment with donated eggs is 50.  If your uterus is healthy then it is reasonable to have treatment and you do not need to be having regular periods. Before embarking on treatment I would advise you to have a pelvic ultrasound assessment.  If your sister wants to be an egg donor she would need to be assessed for her age, AHM level and she would need to have implication counselling.  You could also consider anonymous egg donation.
