Coq10 and DHEA

We have read conflicting reports about Coq10, DHEA & wheat germ supplementation, with some Ob/Gyns dismissing it outright. Are there some links to standards based studies validating the same? I am 37 with 2 missed abortions and do not want to take any chance with the next one!

Our Expert's Answer

This information was published 6 years, 6 months ago and was correct at the time of publication. It may not reflect our current practices or regulations.

Please note that all the answers we give are on a generic basis only, as we cannot provide more in-depth answers without access to your medical history. If you need a more detailed response, tailored to you, we would recommend a consultation with one of our Fertility Specialists for more comprehensive medical advice.

There have been conflicting reports about the effectiveness of supplements you mention. We recommend DHEA only for patients with poor ovarian reserve. We do not recommend any other supplements as there isn’t strong enough evidence that they improve IVF success.
