Fertility Doctors in Cheshire: Manchester Fertility's Specialist Medical Team

Did you know our fertility consultants specialise in different causes of infertility? The specialist range of expertise across our Cheshire-based doctor team means we have the skill and experience to treat your fertility diagnosis.

With female doctors available and a multilingual consultant team speaking Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, Hungarian, German and Greek, our friendly and welcoming fertility specialists can help you now with no waiting list.

Areas of clinical interest spanning our consultant team include:

    Male infertility

From mild forms of male infertility such as a low sperm count to azoospermia with no sperm production, Consultant Urological Surgeon Dr Steve Bromage and Dr Muhammad Akhtar are our male fertility specialists, who’ve helped many men become fathers.

They’ll investigate and diagnose your specific sperm problem, advising the best way to overcome it, whether that’s through fertility treatment or lifestyle and dietary changes.

Our male fertility services are tailored to your specific needs so that we can provide the very best treatment. Our extensive range of male fertility tests include semen analysis and sperm DNA testing, treatments include ICSI – a form of IVF where a single sperm is injected into the egg – and Surgical Sperm Retrieval, where sperm is extracted from testicular tissues.

    Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome

PCOS is one of the most common causes of fertility problems in women, making it difficult to conceive naturally due to irregular or no ovulation.

We’ll give you the right expert advice to help you have a baby, both naturally or through fertility treatment. Many of our fertility doctors have special interest in PCOS diagnosis and treatment for successful pregnancy, including Dr Katerina Bambang, Dr Peter Kerecsenyi and Dr Raj Mathur.

    Recurrent miscarriage

If you’ve suffered from recurrent miscarriages, our doctors specialise in treatment, tailoring your journey to achieve a healthy pregnancy and baby.

They’ll arrange for any further investigations and tests and may recommend treatment and techniques to help, including IVF genetic testing through Preimplantation Genetic Screening of your embryos. Specialists for IVF genetic testing and also recurrent miscarriage include Dr Anamika Rao, Dr Peter Kerecsenyi, Dr Raj Mathur and Dr Katerina Bambang.

    Recurrent embryo implantation failure

Failed IVF may be caused by embryo implantation failure, where the embryo doesn’t implant and grow despite the transfer of a good quality embryo. If this happens over the course of your IVF cycles, it’s defined as recurrent embryo implantation failure, and any further treatment requires a specialist and approach.

Our fertility consultants can help, advising any further procedures to maximise chances of success including genetic testing through Endometrial Receptivity Array, which identifies when your uterus is most receptive to the embryo for successful implantation.

    Fertility preservation

If you’re interested in egg freezing or sperm freezing, we can advise if fertility preservation is right for you, based on factors such as your age and current fertility status. We’ll explain your likelihood of pregnancy in future, so you can make an informed choice. Dr Katerina Bambang has specific clinical interest in fertility preservation and factors affecting success.

    Gynaecological conditions & procedures

If you have fibroids or uterine malformations, our consultants specialise in gynaecological problems that can affect conception and pregnancy, performing laparoscopic surgery and procedures to identify the right treatment for you.

    Endometriosis

Endometriosis affects one in 10 women in the UK. Our doctors can arrange for laparoscopy to assess how it affects your fertility and ability to conceive, advising which fertility treatment is most likely to work for you based on the severity of the condition in your individual case. Dr Kingshuk Majumder is part of the team at St Mary’s Pelvic Pain and Endometriosis Centre, one of the largest endometriosis referral centres in the UK.

    Secondary Infertility

If you’re struggling to conceive a second child, you’re not on your own. Secondary infertility is much more common than you might think and it can be caused by many different factors, such as advanced age, lifestyle changes since your last pregnancy or undiagnosed existing conditions which didn’t stop you conceiving before. Our doctors will perform through fertility tests to try and identify any cause and recommend treatment to help you grow your family.
