Hi I have read that clomid can cause cancer if you have more than 12 cycles. I can't remember how many I had but I know I had a lot as my PCT cut IVF so they gave me a prescription for 4 more lots at double dose and discharged me. This hurt my hips so I halved it and took it for longer. Now i'm worried I may have caused damage.
Studies from North America suggested that taking clomid for a long period of time increased the risk of ovarian cancer. Subsequent studies have failed to confirm this but it is not recommended to take clomid for more than 12 months. It is unlikely you have done any lasting harm taking the drug but if you are worried I would suggest that you see your GP for advice.
