Embryo Donation

If you have embryos in storage at Manchester Fertility Services and wish to donate them for the treatment of others, the following will be required:

• An appointment will be given to discuss the implications of donating embryos
• Screening blood tests will be required from both of you for HIV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, syphilis, cytomegalovirus, cystic fibrosis and genetic testing
• You will be required to complete a donor registration form with information for any potential recipient and a good will message for any child to read once they reach 18 years of age
• Once this process has been completed, your embryos can be allocated to a recipient on our waiting list for treatment with donated embryos
